Fun-Wey is concerned with where the child is at right now – not down the road.  If they are struggling with a math assignment, a Fun-Wey tutor will focus on helping them with that, rather than being strict about following instructions in a workbook. If the child is tired or sick, Fun-Wey pays attention and turns learning into something they can handle at that moment. Finally, Fun-Wey recognizes that every child is different – what’s fun for one child may not be fun for another child. This takes more than an ability to teach a subject, it takes knowledge of how to treat an entire child holistically.

Fun-Wey Tutoring  is Coordinated

Fun-Wey goes the extra distance to coordinate their efforts with the teachers and counselors at school, and to attend parent-teacher conferences with the parent.  That way, everyone is on the same page about where the child is at, what they need help with, and what assignments or exams are coming up. A tutor that leaves it up to the child to say what homework they’ve got will likely find this common answer: “nothing.” Going even a further mile, Fun-Wey gains access to a child’s school textbooks and learning material, so there is never the excuse, “I forgot it at school.” Without this type of coordination, a child can get confused as to what their current demands are, and what is top priority, because they will get mixed messages from all directions: parents, teachers and tutor.

Fun-Wey Tutoring is Flexible

Fun-Wey understands that a child has other things going on in their life, like soccer, piano, and friends.  For this reason, when an appointment needs a rain check because a child got invited to a ski trip with a best friend’s family, Fun-Wey understands and finds a way to fit the tutoring session into another time slot.
